Phone interpreting is perfect for situations where an interpreter cannot be at the location within a specified time frame. It can also be used when a rare language or dialect is needed and an on-site interpreter is not available. As with on-site interpreters, our phone interpreters are assessed, trained, and fully qualified through LTC’s screening process. LTC phone interpreters adhere to the same standards as LTC on-site interpreters.
For a one-on-one phone interpretation session, all you need to do is set up an account with LTC – and there is no cost! Your dedicated representative will work with you to complete a new account activation form to create your customized account.
To connect to an interpreter by phone, just dial the designated number assigned to your account. Then select the language you need (or enter the language code) and we will connect you to an interpreter. It’s that easy!
Video Remote Interpretation (VRI) is the video chat equivalent of phone interpretation. VRI is an on-demand, cost-effective alternative to in person interpretation, especially for ASL. LTC’s video service is available through any computer with internet access and a webcam, making it convenient for you to use with your existing system.
There is no cost to set up an account. Your dedicated representative will work with you to complete a new account activation form to create your customized account. We are able to activate your VRI interpretation account within two business days of receiving this information.
