ONSITE INTERPRETING

LTC provides oral interpreting services for a variety of situations including appointments, meetings, consultations, conferences and events. LTC sets itself apart through offering high quality interpreting coupled with competitive rates and a full time staff to support your needs.

MODES OF INTERPRETING

CONSECUTIVE

Consecutive interpreters are often used in court hearings, depositions, interviews, medical appointments, and meetings. In this setting, the interpreter establishes a rhythm with the speaker that allows frequent pauses giving the interpreter the opportunity to accurately interpret.

SIMULTANEOUS

Simultaneous interpreters have specialized training and skills that allow them to interpret as the speaker talks, with no need for pauses. Simultaneous interpreting is used mainly at conferences and meetings and requires equipment such as headsets for the client, which we can provide.

ESCORT

Also referred to as liaison interpreting, escort interpreting is a less involved process than other modes of interpreting. The interpreter typically shadows the client for several hours, or all day long in their activities, and communicates only what the person being shadowed requests them to interpret.

PRICING

Onsite interpreting is based on an hourly rate and billed monthly.

The cost for interpretation services is variable and is negotiated on a case-by-case basis. A two hour minimum is required for all services, excluding simultaneous interpreting. All cancellations for scheduled appointments must be requested 48 hours before the scheduled appointment or the full price will be charged.
