Available. Flexible. Reliable.

We interpret your needs, as well as the language.

Available Around the Clock

Our full-time staff operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. So, regardless the time of day, you can get a live person on the phone and communicate your interpreting needs.

Trained and Qualified

We have an extensive vetting and onboarding process for each interpreter that includes a review of work experience, certification, and qualifications. We then clarify the expectations and professionalism required as an LTC interpreter. This includes appearance, dress code, etiquette, and identification badges.

Modes of Interpreting

Consecutive

Consecutive interpreters are used in court hearings, depositions, interviews, medical appointments, and meetings. In this setting, the interpreter establishes a rhythm with the speaker that allows frequent pauses giving the interpreter the opportunity to accurately interpret.

Simultaneous

Simultaneous interpreters have specialized training and skills that allow them to interpret as the speaker talks, with no need for pauses. Simultaneous interpreting is used mainly at conferences and meetings, and it requires equipment, such as headsets for the client, which we can provide.

Escort

Escort interpreting can also be referred to as liaison interpreting. This interpreter typically shadows the client for several hours, or their entire day’s activities, communicating only what the person being shadowed requests them to interpret.

In-person, by phone, or on video:

On-site

We have interpreters all over the world available to perform consecutive, simultaneous, or escort interpretation in over 300 languages.

On-site interpreting is based on an hourly rate and billed monthly.

  • The cost for interpretation services varies and is negotiated on a case-by-case basis.
  • A two hour minimum is required for all services, excluding simultaneous interpreting.
  • All cancellations for scheduled appointments must be requested 48 hours before the scheduled appointment or the full price will be charged.

Phone

LTC provides phone interpreting 24 hours per day, 7 days per week, with a connection rate of fewer than 20 seconds. Phone interpreting is perfect for emergency situations in which an interpreter cannot come to the location within a specified time frame. Phone interpreting can also be used when a rare language or dialect is needed and an on-site interpreter is not available. As with on-site interpreters, LTC’s phone interpreters are assessed, trained, and fully qualified through LTC’s screening process. LTC phone interpreters adhere to the same standards as LTC on-site interpreters.

Video

To connect with an interpreter, simply dial the toll free number assigned, then enter your account number and PIN (if needed). You will then state the language you need or enter the 3 digit language code and hold temporarily while we connect you to an interpreter. It’s that easy!

For an on-demand phone interpretation session, we charge a per-minute rate. Invoices are sent on a monthly basis. We require no monthly minimum usage or retainer, which means you pay only for the time you us!

Video Remote Interpretation (VRI) is the video chat equivalent of phone interpretation. VRI is an on-demand, cost-effective alternative to in-person interpretation, especially for ASL. Our VRI service is available through any computer with internet access and a webcam, making it convenient for you to use with your existing systems.

Our cloud-hosted solution minimizes equipment costs for our clients. All you need:

  • Computer, smartphone, or tablet that has an Android, Apple, or Windows marketplace
  • Webcam (internal or external)
  • Microphone (internal or external)
  • Internet connection
