Doing Business with the Government

Doing business with the government is so fun. As I have been attending a conference hosted by the Small Business Chamber of Commerce in DC this week, I wonder how anything really ever gets done. With the alphabet soup used in government contracting like SAM, CCR, GSA and on and on along with the regulations and confusing landscape, it is amazing that a small business ever gets an award from any government agency.

Nevertheless,  we know that the government needs and buys language services. To that end, I keep finding walls to hit my head against but I have a lot of good company. With over 250 businesses here salivating over the chance and privilege to get an award from an agency, we all subject ourselves to the complex world of government procurement. If anyone out there has the magic formula, please share it with all of us. At least DC has been experiencing a heat wave and that has kept me sane.
