INDIANAPOLIS (July 11, 2011) – Fifteen companies from Indianapolis will be honored for being among 43 outstanding companies to earn a place in Indiana’s fourth annual field of “Companies to Watch.”

The local companies were Allegient, LLC, an information technology firm, AMD LASERS, LLC, a laser manufacturing firm, Axia Technology Partners, an information technology firm, Bostech, an information technology firm, FlashPoint, Inc., a management consulting firm, Formstack, a computer system design firm, Home Health Depot, a health care company, Indigo BioSystems, Inc., an information technology firm, Indy Composite Works, Inc., a manufacturer of carbon fiber composites, Jackson Systems, LLC, a wholesale trader, Language Training Center, Inc., an educational services firm, MMY Consulting, Inc., an information technology consulting firm, Royal United Financial Services, LLC, a financial services firm, Sun King Brewing Co., a local brewery and The Basement Design + Motion, LLC, an advertising and public relations firm.

“These ‘Companies to Watch’ are among the firms fostering Indiana’s economic growth,” said Mitch Roob, Secretary of Commerce and chief executive officer of the Indiana Economic Development Corporation. “This group deserves our congratulations and our thanks for helping to make Indiana a great state for business.”
The accolade, presented by the Indiana Economic Development Corporation, its Small Business Development Center network, Purdue University and the Edward Lowe Foundation, recognizes the state’s privately held businesses that employ six to 150 full-time employees and have between $750,000 to $100 million in annual revenue or capital.

The 43 “Companies to Watch” from 18 Indiana counties were named after evaluating more than 300 nominations for the awards and represent industries ranging from custom sign design to medication consulting services and snorkeling equipment manufacturing to fire and storm restoration services.

The chosen companies project to have combined revenues in excess of $600 million and create more than 550 new jobs this year. The revenue projections represent an increase of more than $100 million or 33 percent from 2010.

With major sponsorship from Barnes and Thornburg, LLP, the “Companies to Watch” awards program is an initiative developed by the Cassopolis, Mich.-based Edward Lowe Foundation. The foundation licenses similar programs in Michigan, Colorado, Florida, Wisconsin and North Carolina. The program is also sponsored in part by Premier Capital Corporation, Katz Sapper & Miller and KeyBank.

The 43 “Companies to Watch” will be honored at an Aug. 25 ceremony at the Indiana Roof Ballroom in Indianapolis. Tickets for the ceremony and dinner are still available and may be purchased online or by calling 888.472.3244.
