The International Center

Overview:
The International Center, a nonprofit that promotes global understanding and cultural exchange, held a big event bringing together people from different backgrounds. To make sure everyone could participate, they wanted to provide American Sign Language (ASL) interpretation for Deaf attendees. They turned to LTC Language Solutions, a trusted provider of language services, to help make this happen.

Challenge:
The International Center wanted to make sure Deaf and hard-of-hearing attendees could fully engage with the event. They needed a professional ASL interpreter who could keep up with the event’s schedule, speakers, and discussions. It was important to find someone experienced who could handle a fast-moving and multilingual setting.

Solution:
The International Center reached out to LTC, which quickly assessed their needs and provided a skilled ASL interpreter. The interpreter was placed where Deaf attendees could easily see them and helped translate live presentations, Q&A sessions, and conversations. This made sure that everyone had equal access to the event’s content.

Outcome:
Thanks to our support, the event was more inclusive, and Deaf attendees could participate just like everyone else. The ASL interpreter made communication easy, helping to create a welcoming and accessible environment. People appreciated the effort to make the event inclusive, and it set a great example for future events.

Conclusion:
By working with LTC, The International Center showed its commitment to accessibility and inclusion. This partnership made a big difference for Deaf attendees and highlighted why accessibility matters. Moving forward, The International Center plans to offer ASL interpretation at more events, making sure everyone can be involved.
